2012: A Banner Year
And The Best Is Still To Come
Every year has been a Banner Year in the life of our church — and 2012 was no exception, Thousands of people raised to life in Christ. Millions of dollars given away. To God be the Glory.
In the past seven years, God has blessed our church with the resources
and capabilities to open seven Elevation locations in the Charlotte area. Through a multi-site model, we’re able to reach more people, more quickly as God expands His movement through our church. Our goal is to provide an identical worship experience to as many people as possible in a location that is convenient for them to attend and invite their friends, spreading the good news of the Gospel to people far from God all across our city.
Elevation Outreach is how our church makes a difference in our city and our world. When you give to Elevation Church, 12% of your giving goes directly to support our local and international Outreach Partners. We believe there is power in partnership. Rather than start our own ministries, soup kitchens and shelters, we find the ones doing it better than anyone else, and we partner with them, donating time, volunteers and resources to help them become even more successful catalysts of change.
2012 Media Statistics
We live in the greatest age of media and communication in human history. Through the use of technology, we’re able to reach more people than ever with the Gospel of Jesus. The Elevation App, podcasts and websites give people around the world access to hundreds of sermons and content through a few simple clicks. In 2012, we once again saw the reach our church is having beyond the walls of our weekend worship experiences.
2012 Finance Statistics
God continued to bless Elevation Church financially throughout 2012. Through the generosity of the people of Elevation, we saw a 43% increase in our operating giving. That doesn’t include the huge response we had at year end with our Banner Years offering. We work very hard to steward all the blessings God has given us, and we take the task of managing God’s money very seriously. To help ensure a high level of financial accountability, we undergo a yearly voluntary audit by an outside accounting firm (C. DeWitt Foard and Co., P.A.).
During Banner Years we shared our plans to open new Elevation locations in the Ballantyne and Huntersville/Cornelius/Lake Norman area, as well as several new outreach opportunities. On the next few pages you can see the amount committed to our different Banner Years outreach initiatives, as well as the allocation breakdown for our upcoming expansion projects. We will be able to complete these projects with a loan funded through diligently managed operating income.
